Shinde
Nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, Shinde is an intimate camp located on the edge of Shinde lagoon, teeming with animal and birdlife. The main camp’s unique tree house made of a multi-tiered raised dining/lounge area under canvas, set amongst the shade of ebony and mangosteen, complements the atmosphere of this original safari camp.

Shinde comprises of eight twin bedded classic safari tents each with ensuite bathrooms, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. Every possible comfort has been catered for – from mosquito nets, electric ceiling fans, generated electricity and a private viewing deck through to a decanter of sherry!
Each tent, strategically positioned, offers splendid views, whether across the Delta’s mysterious
waterways or open grasslands.

Attractions at Shinde

• Situated on a private concession that allows guided walks, mokoro excursions and night drives in addition to game drives and motorboating

• An excellent location in the delta with permanent water for year round water activities as well as large dry areas for game drive routes, this combination provides the habitat for a wide variety of wildlife found consistently in the area

• Included in the wide variety of game found at Shinde, there are regular sightings of the rarely spotted sitatunga antelope

• Fly or spin fishing throughout the year (best months September - April)

• Shinde is a delightful honeymoon option in the delta where guests are accommodated in the honeymoon tent and enjoy some special touches including the option of private breakfast, days can be taken at a slightly more relaxed pace than a normal safari routine!

Kanana
Kanana is a hidden jewel set on the Xudum River in the southwest Okavango. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and knobthorn, and is home to a myriad of birds, plants and animals. The nature of the habitat means it is the perfect place to experience the diversity of species found within the Okavango Delta.

At Kanana guests are accommodated in eight spacious, twin-bedded spacious tents, set on raised teak decks, offering breathtaking views across the waterways. Dependent on the annual floods, the level of water transforms this dry camp into a true water experience and in the early months of the year you may actually enjoy the visible spectacle of the water rising around the camp. All tents offer en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, shower and flush toilet. The tents are well spaced affording privacy, whilst still being within comfortable distance from the central dining and lounge area.

• Situated on a private concession that allows guided walks, mokoro excursions and night drives in addition to game drives and motor boating (water levels permitting)

• Private access to one of the largest heronry’s in the Okavango Delta by motorboat

• Excellent area for birding with regular sightings of Pel’s Fishing Owl

• Spin fishing throughout the year (best months September - April)

Okuti
This delightful camp lies alongside the Maunachira River, which flows through the Xakanaxa Lagoon within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Offering a welcome touch of comfort, Okuti has recently been rebuilt amidst the wilderness of one of Botswana`s prime game viewing regions.

Okuti caters for a maximum of 18 guests, accommodation is in large beautifully appointed rooms each with ensuite bathroom with inside and outside showers, hot and cold running water and flush toilets.
Five rooms are twin share and two are family rooms consisting of two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, ideal for families as Okuti is a child friendly lodge.

• Okuti offers one of the best value safari experiences in the Moremi/Okavango region of Botswana with excellent year round game viewing as Moremi Game Reserve has widely varied habitats supporting a huge variety of wildlife and is a protected area.

• Okuti is ideal for families and has two family rooms available. Okuti accepts children from the age of 7 years and up all year round (in low season you can apply for younger children to be accepted) as the nature of the activities are safe for children (game drives and boating only).

• Okuti can accommodate clients wishing to self drive (in 4WD) into Moremi Game Reserve, offering an adventure and an alternative to flying.

• Okuti offers seasonal boat excursions to Gadikwe Heronry.

• Flights to/from Kasane are available at an additional USD 122 nett one way (subject to change)
