Situated on the southwest shore of Benguerra Island, Marlin Lodge offers some of the finest scuba diving sites and some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world. Benguerra Island is approximately 11km in length and 5,5km wide and lays 14km offshore from the mainland and the town of Vilanculos. It offers privacy as an island destination, and is protected by the lush surroundings.

Executive Beach Suites:
These spacious suites have their own inimitable style... resonating with Afro-chic elegance and refined furnishings. With over 80 m² of floor space and a 30 m² veranda, this suite is the perfect haven for the discerning visitor. Similar to the Luxury Beach Suites, the interior has sophisticated finishes such as slated flooring, plastered surfaces and soft lighting.

All suites have en suite bathrooms, Air-conditioning, four-poster beds with mosquito netting, Mini bar, private verandah, Privacy and direct access to the beach.

Airport Frontier tax of US$ 3 per person payable at customs on arrival at Vilanculos International Airport.
National Parks levy of US$ 10 (20 years and older) or US$ 5 (0 - 19 years) per person per stay; this forms part of a community project on Benguerra Island and is payable at the lodge upon departure.

Children of all ages are allowed at Marlin Lodge.

4 - 14 years - 50% of the adult sharing rate.

Child rates are inclusive of all meals, non alcoholic beverages and non motorized water sports (Wind surfing, Kayaking and Hobiecat sailing)

Marlin Lodge is located off the coast of Mozambique, a 20-minute boat excursion from the mainland town of Vilanculos.

There are three modes of travelling to Vilanculos:
Flying by scheduled flight from OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport,
Self-drive to Vilanculos, which is approximately 810 km north of the capital city of Maputo (secure complimentary parking bay in Vilanculos),
Opt to charter a private plane through a selected company, or fly with a privately owned aircraft

There is a minibus transfer from Vilanculos International airport to the harbour, followed by a boat charter transfer from Vilanculos Harbour to Marlin Lodge. Travel time is 20 - 30 minutes, depending on weather conditions.

Transfer times from Vilanculos & back are set and we will inform you of this when you make your booking.
