Requirements for weddings held at Desroches Island, Seychelles:
- Personal information minimum one month prior to the wedding date.
- Passport photocopy for both bride and groom.
- Birth certificate for both bride and groom.
- Copy of Divorce Certification (in case of previous marriage).
- Couple must arrive in Seychelles at least three days prior to wedding date.
The island has only one luxurious resort with 20 Beach Suites and 28 Villas for our guest to enjoy, all with sea-views and just a few steps from the beach. Located only 5˚ south of the equator Desroches is blessed with one of the world’s healthiest, malaria free climates.
Desroches is 10 hrs from London, 9 hrs from Paris, 8 hrs from Italy, 5 hrs from Johannesburg or Doha, Qatar and 4 hrs from Dubai.
Beach Suites:
Located around the central area, dining room, swimming pool and spa, the 20 luxuriously spacious Beach Suites, are ideally built along the west-facing beach. The Beach Suites are set amongst tropical gardens, palm trees and green lawns, just a few metres from the beach.Each air-conditioned beach suite offers privacy with its own veranda, lounge area, flat screen TV and mini bar. The well designed bathrooms have double basins, a covered outdoor bath, an outdoor shower and a separate toilet and bidet.
Adding to your exclusive experience, in-suite dining or private dinners on the beach where the waves lap gently against the soft white sand are available.

Adults only.Each Beach Retreat is equipped with a private plunge pool and living area. The Beach Retreats are decorated in a unique style, enhanced by the surroundings.
The air-conditioned bedroom overlooks the main deck with its private outdoor shower. The hotel offers In-Retreat dining and private chefs for more intimate entertaining, making your stay a truly personal experience and allowing you to thoroughly relax. Meals can also be enjoyed at the hotel’s various exotic dining locations.

Activities:
The activities on offer at Desroches are designed to give guests the opportunity to enjoy the island and its magic either under guidance from one of our hosts, or to give you the complete freedom to move around the Island at your own pace, either on foot or on our mountain bikes.
Snorkeling: There are numerous good snorkeling sites around Desroches Island. Masks and fins are available at the dive centre if you wish to explore these sites, either on your own or in the company of a staff member.
Fly-fishing: Desroches Island has fishing rods, tackle and flies in stock for guest use. However, we recommend that serious fly-fisherman bring their own rods and tackle.
Scuba Diving: The Seychelles forms part of the world’s longest coral reef system and has some of the worlds best scuba diving sites. Numerous dive sites have been identified around Desroches Island. We offer ‘guided’ scuba experiences and our dive masters and instructors are not only experts in scuba practices but also in the underwater universe. The Dive Centre is fully equipted with the latest BCD’s, regulators, wetsuits, fins & masks. Guests wishing to dive need not bring their own hard or soft gear, only their diving licence!
Sea Kayaking: Those wishing to explore the island from the water are able to do so using sea kayaks with all the necessary tuition and guidance provided.
Island Explorations: Guests can enjoy an Island exploration to one of the nearby islands, St. Josephs and enjoy a fish barbeque on the beach.
Bicycling: Island bicycles are available for each guest to use and are suitable for getting from one side of the Island to the other with ease.
Tennis: Equipment can be rented from the reception area to use on the floodlight lit tennis court.
Plus table tennis, Windsurfing, deep sea Fishing and Sunset boat cruises.
The Coconut Spa is run by experienced and fully trained Balinese masseuses who offer a range of soothing and energising spa treatments. Enjoy a relaxing & refreshing massage treatment at either the Spa centre, your own Suite or on the beach!
