Day 1 - 4: Arrive Cape Town

Day 4 - Day 6: Cape Town - Sedgefield, near Knysna (approx. 5 hours drive)

We recommend you take a car for your drive from Cape Town to Lake Pleasant Living – which lies about 20 minutes outside of Knysna. Your apartment suite will be your base for the next couple of days to explore all the Garden Route has to offer – not forgetting that July to November is whale watching time!

Day 6 - 8: Knysna - Shamwari Game Reserve (approx.4 hours drive)
2 nights Shamwari Game Reserve, near Port Elizabeth
The unforgettable highlight of your holiday is about to start. Welcome to Shamwari Private Game Reserve, the ultimate luxury safari adventure and conservation effort coupled with responsible tourism. We recommend you arrive at Shamwari Game Reserve just before lunch, allowing yourself time to relax in pure luxury and take in your beautiful surroundings before the adventure begins.
Your experienced ranger will be on hand to guide you through the 25,000 hectares of African bush, explaining not only the Big 5, but also the smaller game and bush environment. You will enjoy evening and morning game drives during your stay as well as the opportunity to visit one of the Born Free Foundation Animal Rescue and Education Centres.

We recommend a car for the duration of your holiday, this can be collected from the airport or your car can be delivered to one of your hotels.
