This safari begins at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and ends at Cape Town International Airport.
Day 1 - 4: Johannesburg - Phinda Private Game Reserve
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the team, who will help you onto a domestic flight to Richard's Bay. From there, a light aircraft will take you directly to Phinda Private Game Reserve.
Within easy reach of the Indian Ocean, Phinda is known for abundant wildlife, diverse habitats and thrilling safaris. The Reserve contains seven distinct ecosystems, known as the 'Seven Worlds of Wonder'. This variety of landscape shelters the Big Five, and many rarer and less easily spotted species, such as the elusive cheetah and scarce black rhino. The golden beaches of Sodwana Bay are nearby, with scuba diving, fishing and even turtle watching available.
Spend four nights in a secluded glass suite on stilts above the sandy forest floor at Forest Lodge at Phinda. Your stay includes three meals daily, served in an endless selection of romantic African settings, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, tea and coffee, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry and daily lodge adventures. Adventures include tracking wildlife through the dawn or dusk on twice-daily game drives, nature walks in the solitude of the African bush, birdwatching and atmospheric sunset cruises on the Mzinene River.
