Ulusaba Safari Weddings - What could be more spectacular than a wedding ceremony in the African Bush? This is the kind of wedding your guests will be talking about for years to come – a wedding at Richard Branson’s safari lodge in South Africa.

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve is Sir Richard Branson's safari lodge located in the Western sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Guests can taste the spoils of Africa in peace and tranquility providing the perfect place for all age groups and for any occasion to experience a safari.

There are three lodges at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve: Rock Lodge, Safari Lodge and the brand new Cliff Lodge.

Ulusaba Cliff Lodge has two one-bedroom suites. The larger of the two suites is called Cliff Lodge 1 with a smaller second bedroom/study which can accommodate one adult or two small children. The second suite is named Cliff Lodge 2, which has one bedroom.
The two suites can be sold exclusively accommodating a maximum of five adults and four children. The exclusive use rate includes the use of both Cliff Lodge Suites, a private game drive vehicle and chef. The two Cliff Lodge Suites can also be booked individually within 3 months prior to guest arrival.

Ulusaba Rock Lodge is perched high on the summit of a koppie and provides panoramic views over miles of bush, the wildlife roaming within and the beauty of the lowveld below.

Ulusaba Safari Lodge is built along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed, where guests will love the sense of adventure as they cross the swing bridges between exquisite tree house rooms while elephants, bushbuck, lion and other local wildlife pass by.

Children of any age are welcome at Rock Lodge and Cliff Lodge but must be 12 or above to stay at the Safari Lodge. Younger pride members of the family can visit the Cub’s Club, which runs a fun daily programme of activities aiming to both entertain and educate cubs about their surroundings.

There are four wedding options at Ulusaba to choose from, from simple to lavish, all designed to ensure the bride and groom get off to a fantastic start!

  2. Simply Exclusive: For those who want to bring their friends and family along but don’t want all the frills and bows
  3. Pure Indulgence: Designed for the couple who want a private and romantic wedding with a lot of pampering!
  4. Premium Exclusive: For those who want to celebrate with their nearest and dearest with all the trimmings
Included in the 4 wedding packages:
  • 3 nights’ accommodation for the bride and groom
  • All your meals and beverages (including special wedding meals), and unlimited French champagne
  • The ceremony at any one of a variety of stunning locations either within the lodges or in the bush (transfers included)
  • A minister, preparation for the ceremony, processing of all legal documents
  • Wedding cake
  • Twice daily game drives in the bush
  • Complimentary room upgrades (subject to availability)
  • Optional room for the bride on the eve and/or day of the wedding (subject to availability)

We have lots of exciting extras available on request including a spectacular helicopter flight through the Blyde River Canyon to take in God’s Window, followed by a romantic picnic with views of The Pinnacle, a place of breathtaking beauty high above the world! This option includes approximately 200 jumbo size photographs (includes black and white sepia photos, machine printed on colour paper)
Photographs are taken in the following order:
  • Bride getting dressed (1 hour before the ceremony)
  • Duration of the ceremony
  • Formal groups, family and friends
  • Bride & Groom
  • Wedding Reception (1 hour from the arrival of the bridal couple)

This option includes approximately 300 jumbo size photographs (includes black and white Sepia photos, machine printed on colour paper)
Photographs are taken in the following order:
  • Bride getting dressed (1 hour before the ceremony)

  • Wedding Reception (3 hours from the arrival of the bridal couple, includes all guests’ tables and reception procedures)

Shipping of Wedding Album
If the couple is in South Africa for at least 6 working days after the wedding, the album will be couriered to their hotel at no additional charge
Overseas insured courier is an additional R1,050
Please note:
All negatives are included in both photography packages
All photographs are placed in a high quality flip album (25cm x 19cm x 6cm)
All photographs are copied onto a CD and included in the album
