Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is situated on the largest Island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 600 Km north of Maputo (the capital of Mozambique). The island is a beautiful and un-spoilt destination, characterized by its wild fauna, turquoise sea’s, idyllic beaches and is carefully protected as a Nature Reserve Park. The Resort offers a unique combination of beauty, security and relaxation that makes it the perfect spot for nature lovers as well as divers and water sport enthusiasts, especially fishing.

Children 1 – 4 years of age stay free on FB when sharing with parents in the same room.
Children 5-18 sharing with parents in the same room pay the above rates inclusive of FB.
Bungalows can support 1 extra bed for children.
Requests for children to have a separate room will be charged at full adult rates – 1st child at single rates and 2nd and/or 3rd child at children’s rates above.

High Seasons/Minimum nights stay/New Year’s Eve Supplement:

2. A compulsory 2 minimum nights stay all year round except from:
a) 06th – 09th April 2012 » 3 min. nights stay
b) 11th December 2012 to 11th January 2013 » 4 min. nights stay
3. Pre set arrival dates - High season from the 22nd December to the 4th of January: 22nd & 23rd December and 27th & 28th December 2012
4. Compulsory New Year's Eve supplement:   Adults - $110 per person; Children 1-12 years free and from 13-18 years pay $85.

TRANSFERS MAPUTO/BAZARUTO/MAPUTO
Flights from Maputo or Johannesburg to Vilanculos are available followed by a 20-minute daily shuttle transfer from Vilanculos to Bazaruto Island (last flight departing at 15h00). Transfers from the airstrip to the lodge is by Land Rover, an approximate 5 minute drive and a distance of 1.5km.

ROOMS
Pestana Bazaruto Lodge offers 26 “A - frame”, thatched bungalows comprising of 12 standard bungalows, 2 family bungalows, 11 superior bungalows and 1 honeymoon bungalow set amongst lush tropical gardens, with magnificent views. All rooms accommodate double or single occupancy, and are equipped with air conditioner, ceiling fan, private bathroom and exterior shower.

RESTAURANTS
The Resort has one main Restaurant, and every night dinner is announced by the sound of African drums. For lunch, have a light meal served by the pool, or maybe a picnic to take to the beach with you. The restaurant offers a buffet or a’ la carte with sea food being a specialty.
