You will find the African people a friendly nation who welcome you with open arms.
Remember to bring a smile as this is a global form of communication.
It is strongly recommended that you take out travel insurance, which Africa A-Z will be happy to assist you with.
In most instances, trust your gut feeling. If something is making you feel uncomfortable, it is best to get out of that situation. The golden rule is to be aware of your surroundings (and people around you) at all times.
Africa experiences mostly hot temperatures throughout the year so lots of sun block and a hat are recommended. The evenings can get cool so bring a jacket (depending on what time of year you travel and where in Africa, below freezing temperatures could be experienced).
Always keep your valuables in a safe place and don't display them ostentatiously or visibly in your vehicle.
Also, be open to learn about the culture of the locals as this will add to the excitement of your trip. Africa A-Z tries to support the local communities in order to uplift their quality of life.
Please be respectful of the beauty of this continent by not littering.
South Africans drive on the left hand side of the road.
In South Africa, the speed limit on urban roads is 60km/h (35mph) unless otherwise indicated. On the highways/motorways the speed limit is 120km/h (75mph) and 100km/h (60mph) on rural roads.
Rates are as accurate as possible - sometimes we may be able to get lower rates so if you've seen it cheaper elsewhere, we more than likely will be able to get the same rate for you. The most important information you need to give us is where you want to go, your dates and number of people travelling.
Please Note: If you are South African/SADC resident, please let us know as some offers/rates may be different. This is an international site for visitors to Africa.
